Codenames is a Tabletop word game from Czech Games Edition. The game where teams compete to see who can find all of their agents first (represented by words on a word grid). Spymasters (aka their team leaders) give one-word clues that refer to their agents/words on the grid. Their teammates try to guess the right words while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin (which causes an auto-lose to the team that chooses the word of the assassin).
Now, Gaming Library, in cooperation with Czech Games Edition, has made a localized version of the game to cater specifically to the Filipino Community. The game was developed by a team of passionate Filipino gamers and was playtested by a small group of Filipino volunteers. This was all done in the effort to make sure that this game will have the appeal, game balance, and fun factor of the International Edition and more!
Spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their codenames.
Alam ng mga Spymaster ang mga lihim na pagkakakilanlan ng 25 na ahente. Ang kanilang mga kakampi ay kilala lamang ang mga ahente sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga codename.
Spymasters take turns giving one-word clues. A clue may relate to multiple words on the table. The field operatives try to guess which words their spymaster meant. When a field operative touches a word, the spymaster reveals its secret identity. If the field operatives guess correctly, they may continue guessing, until they run out of ideas for the given clue or until they hit a wrong person. Then it is the other team's turn to give a clue and guess. The first team to contact all their agents wins the game.
Ang mga Spymasters ay nagpapalitan ng pagbibigay ng clues na may isang salita. Ang isang clue ay maaaring may kaugnayan sa maraming salita sa mesa. Susubukan ng mga field operatives na hulaan kung aling mga salita ang ibig sabihin ng kanilang spymaster. Kapag hinawakan ng isang field operative ang isang salita, ipakikita ng spymaster ang lihim na pagkakakilanlan nito.
